Q: Do I have
to come to you or will you come to me?
A: My standard portraiture pricing is for you coming to me, along with a limited amount of travel for location work. I am more then
happy to discuss coming to you, although my fee will reflect the distance I am
asked to travel.
Q:
Can I have a digital copy of the photographs taken of me?
A: In this modern age I completely understand that you
will value a digital copy of the photograph(s) that you purchase, which is why I
include payment options for digital copies only. I also include a free digital
copy of every print purchased* because I like to see a client with something
they can hold and frame upon their wall as well as be able to show it off on
facebook and similar sites.
Q: Are you happy to shoot gay/lesbian couples for portraits and weddings?
A: Yes. I strongly feel that love is love, regardless
of the genders or any other perceived social divides. If you love each other
then I want to create images that convey that message, it's as simple as that.
Certain parts of my site refer to "Bride and Groom", please note that this is
simply for simplicities sake and not any form of preference. If you would enjoy
me taking your photos for a portrait or a wedding I would love to hear from you,
whoever you are.
Q: Do I have to do my own hair and make up?
A: Most customers who work with me are more then able
to do this satisfactorily, but if you feel you want to up the ante and have a
Hair and Make up artist work with us I am more then happy to have to have a
freelance Hair and MUA attend. The costs for their services would be added to
the fee.
Q: Do you have your own studio.
A: Currently I have a dining room that I convert for
studio use regularly. The future plan is to set up a studio in the high street.
You've seen my work and like it enough to be reading these FAQ's, so you know my
converted dining room does the job well!
Q: Do you do location work? I mean will you take my photograph in my favourite
park/riverside/etc?
A: Yes, I am more then happy to do location work, in
fact for certain photography types, such as baby and family shots I prefer to be
outside of the studio. I find baby's are best photographed at home and for
family photographs their home or the great outdoors make perfect backdrops.
Q: Can I bring a friend.
A: Yes. I understand sometimes people posing get a
little nervous and having a friend or family member along can help ease that
nervousness. Also, if I am shooting anyone under the age of 18 it is a
requirement that they bring a parent.
Q: What if my friend wants some photographs too?
A: As long as there is time, I am happy to shoot your
friend too. Their sitting fee will be the same as yours though. I do not offer
group discounts, unless of course I am specifically asked to come and photograph
a family or couple.
Q: Do you have props?
A: I tend to concentrate on shooting the individual
and don't carry much in the way or props. If there is something that you feel
highlights your character then by all means bring it along and we can include it
in your photographs.
